At Trailblazers, we enjoy playing outside as well, from time to time we will be posting pictures and trip reports of some of our adventures. This might include trail reports, gear performance reviews and anything else we think you might be interested in.

Trailblazers History

Trailblazers Camping & Outdoor Store opened its doors in March 2001 and hasn't looked back since. We have grown in character thanks to the input and help from our great customers and we have also increased our product selection to over 3000 items.

Our product mix covers a wide range of channels inluding Hiking, Backpacking, Camping, Running, Fitness, Outdoor Lifestyle, Travel, Snowshoeing, and Cross Country Skiing to name a few. We continue to add new products to our store to better serve our market and welcome the input of our customers.

We carry one of the widest selection of trail-specific footwear in the Calgary area. We have sandals, running shoes, casual shoes, hiking boots, backpacking boots and winter boots.

Our clothing covers a wide range of activities including travel, hiking/backpacking, running, crosscountry skiing, snowshoeing and active lifestyle. The technical range of our products cover baselayers for warmth and moisture management; mid-layers for comfort, sun protection function and fashion; outer layers for protection from wind, rain, snow while allowing for breatheability.

Our equipment range from camping accessories such as stoves, water filters, backpacks, tents and sleeping bags to travel accessories such as toiletry bags and storage sacks. We also have hundreds of accessories to support the varied activities of the outdoor enthusiasts.

As a business we provide friendly knowledgeable service, facilitate networking within the outdoor community and run educational evening lectures and seminars.
